Festival of World Premieres EVERYTHING THAT IS HUMAN
The program slogan of this year's Festival of World Premieres will be EVERYTHING THAT IS HUMAN. We want to examine humanity in all its dimensions: our fears, ambitions, hopes, and anxieties, our daily work, and the challenges we face as humanity. Where we stand today in the era of great crises and challenges, technological and climatic transformations. We are interested in how much the very concept of "humanity" remains a relevant category to describe our condition in light of the changing perception of the world. On one hand, reflection from the fields of trans- and posthumanism teaches us to blur the boundary between us and the world of living and non-living matter, between humans, the animal world, and artificial intelligence.
On the other hand, we live in the Anthropocene epoch – times when "human" has become practically everything around us: there is no space on the surface of our planet that has not been dominated by our influence. The question of what is human is simultaneously a question about our condition: what is our collective and individual experience in the first half of the 21st century? And is there still something in it that bears the mark of universality? These are precisely the issues we want to explore during the Festival of World Premieres 2025.\
